RPG Room Rules
- Please show up ten minutes before the start time of the event and check in with the RPG Room Guides at the front desk of the RPG Room. Seats will first be given to attendees who have registered online and are present at the start time of the event. Remaining seats will be offered to the next attendee who is present in order of arrival.
- Plan to attend RPG events in their entirety. Discuss scheduling concerns with the Game Master, before the event start time, to determine if accommodations are possible.
- Disagreements or conflicts about rules are decided by the Game Master. Final calls on rules may differ between Game Masters and even between events run by the same Game Master.
- Please respect any rulings made at the table by your Game Master to help the event run smoothly and on schedule.
- The Game Master may need to pause the game to clarify concerns and better understand how to best adjust the content to meet everyone’s needs. Please be considerate and wait patiently. You may, if you wish, entertain yourself by reviewing the rulebook, drawing your character, or chatting with others at the table.
- Please check in with a Guide if you need any help navigating our convention!
Online Registration
All attendees are able to create individual accounts on Tabletop.Events. Please see the Registration Booth in the Main Gaming Room for assistance if needed.
Please review our Event Schedule for the list of upcoming RPG events.
Silent Signal
Game Masters will raise a sign to request silence in the room. When the sign is raised, please pause, raise your hand, and silently wait until the sign has been dropped before resuming your activity.
Game Materials
You are responsible for any items you bring to the convention and to the table. Please declare any personal gaming materials you bring to the Game Master.
The Game Master will provide all the materials needed to play but please return these materials unless the Game Master expressly tells you that you may keep it after the event ends. This includes safety tools like the Pause Cards.
Safety Tools
- Please discuss with Game Masters any content that you might find disturbing before the start of the event. You may also write your concerns on an index card provided on the table and pass it to the Game Master during the game. This content will be modified or removed if possible. You do not need to explain or defend your reasons. Please note that the extent of accommodations may be limited by a pre-established core premise of the game.
- If you need to ask a question or stop the game, please raise either your hand or a pause card and say, “I need to pause for a minute”. This can be for any reason. During the pause, you can choose to have a discrete conversation with the Game Master if you have an issue or if anything causes discomfort.
You may speak with one of the Guides at the Information Desk or with a Director if you need additional assistance. - For additional information about our general rules and safety policies, please review our Code of Conduct.
